Chicken Joe’s
Ride for Kids was founded
in 2008. Our mission is to help raise awareness and funds for
multiple organizations that support children with disabilities and
disadvantages.
We raise funds though sponsoring and
promoting an active and healthy life style for families and their
children that are bless to be able to participate in activities
including bicycling. In return for your participation you will get a
great sense of giving back and helping others that may not have the
abilities.
In our first year, 2008 with only 13
riders we raised over $35,000.00. The funds were distributed to
seven organizations each receiving $5,000.00. This year we will be
adding additional organizations to the original seven and looking
for 50 additional riders to help us reach our goal of $80,000.00.
We are kicking off the
2009 cycling season on Sunday, April 26, 2009 with a special 13.5 mile Kids Ride for Kids.

We understand that this year will be
exceptionally tough due to the economy, but please be as generous as
possible, every bit counts. Your sponsorship will continue to help
fund needed research to find cures to help so many children, as
well as provide emotional support so one day they will be able to
go to a high school prom, have an active family and be able to give
back and help others.
The founders, Joe Marini and Sean Turpin, would like to especially
extended their gratitude to all their sponsors, supporters, vendors
and staff for their support in helping make this possible as it has
special meaning to both of them. Joe’s daughter currently has ITP
and Sean is a childhood cancer survivor himself.
