About Chicken Joe's Ride For Kids

This three day event through Connecticut and upstate New York covers roughly 245 miles.  Riders are coming together to not only enjoy the camaraderie that will be created as they pull for each other on the ride but more importantly, the satisfaction that they will feel when they cross the finish line knowing they went the distance and helped to raise funds which will impact the lives of people that are served by the following organizations:

I.T.P. Foundation
Joe’s daughter, Alexandria was diagnosed three years ago with ITP
which is a blood platelet disorder when the body attacks the platelets.

D.A.R.T. Dana’s Angels
Dana Marella was diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Type C which is a genetic metabolic disorder in which harmful quantities of cholesterol and other fatty substances accumulate in the cells of the body.

Kids in Crisis
An organization that helps kids in need.

Greenwich High School College Fund
This fund helps with students at Greenwich High School who can’t afford to go to college.

A pediatric treatment and research facility. They're working to find cures.

Nicole De Vita started to send goodies for her brother Anthony, who is a Marine.
She then decided to send to other Marines.

Padre Pio – Marian Shrine
 
Joe’s mother, Anna Marini, is a believer and prays for children that are sick. A statue was donated to Marian Shrine by Anna so others may be able to visit this powerful intercessor.

 Jammin for Jamie:  Hope and Heroes 
A child with cancer needs special attention, Hope and heroes philanthropically support the effort.

The Double H Ranch
 
One of the late Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall programs that provides specialized camping and year-round support
for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses capturing the magic of the Adirondacks. 

 Connecticut Special Olympics
Provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports
or children with special needs.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society
The National MS Society helps each person address the challenges of living with MS through their 50 state networks of chapters. They offer a variety of programs and services to help them meet their needs. 

 National Breast Cancer Foundation
Their mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer
through education and by providing mammograms for those in need. 

Stamford Education for Autism
 
Provides educational opportunities and supportive services to the Autism Spectrum Disorder population and their families, within the greater Stamford Community. Offering emotional support and guidance to those on the Autism Spectrum.

Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
Driven by the needs of people with diabetes, the mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

 Blythedale Children’s  Hospital
Established in 1891, Blythedale Children's Hospital in Westchester County, New York they are dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis, care and treatment of children with complex medical and rehabilitative needs
